Modern Maslow

Brian McGee’s Modern Maslow reimagines Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs for a contemporary audience. The challenge was to design a cover that felt both modern and timeless, nodding to the familiar pyramid structure while signaling a deeper, ongoing relevance. This project was brought to life in partnership with our incredible connections over at Streamline Books, whose collaboration helped elevate the creative process from concept to completion.

The selected design features a minimalist, mirrored pyramid forming an hourglass-shaped infinity symbol. This visual metaphor communicates the enduring relevance of Maslow’s framework and the idea that personal growth is not linear but a continuous, evolving process. The symmetry invites reflection, literally and figuratively, suggesting that the insights within are both ancient and newly relevant.
